Joe Wiggins

Joe Wiggins of Bethel Springs, TN was born August 8, 1944 in Memphis, TN the son of the late Vernon Austin Wiggins and Minnie Bell Hatch. He was united in marriage to Katherine Rebecca Freshour on May 21, 1965.

Joe was a longtime member of Bethel Springs Community Church where he served as a Deacon for 9 years. He served in the Tennessee Army National Guard having 22 years of honorable service. Joe retired from Thyssen Krupp Elevator Company in Middleton, TN after 28 years of service. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren, taking road trips, and fishing. Joe departed this life on September 10, 2018 in his home at the age of 74 Years, 1 Month, 2 Days.

He is survived by his wife Katherine Rebecca (Freshour) Wiggins of Bethel Springs, TN; a son, Michael Lynn Wiggins and wife Danielle of Bethel Springs; two grandchildren, Lauren Gabrielle Wiggins and Jonathan James Wiggins, both of Bethel Springs; a sister, Martha Frances Jernigan and husband Dick of Nesbit, MS; a brother, Vernon Austin (Junior) Wiggins, also of Nesbit; a brother-in-law, James (Beetle) Freshour and wife Nelda of Grapevine, AR, along with a host of extended family and friends.
