Joel Churchwell

JOEL CHURCHWELLwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 30, 1931 the son of the late James and Flora Fisher Churchwell.Mr. Churchwell retired after 12 years as a superintendent for Wrangler Boot Company. He was in the Shoe Business for 51 years. Mr. Churchwell was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a member of Lebanon Methodist Church. Mr. Churchwell lived in the Michie community for 10 years and in Savannah, Tennessee for 10 years. He was a very loving person, a friend to everyone and he had a good sense of humor. Mr. Churchwell was a very special brother, father and husband. He departed this life on July 16, 2009 in Michie, Tennessee at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 16 days.Other than his wife, Joan of Michie, Tennessee, he is survived by one son, Stan Churchwell of Hendersonville, Tennesseeone sister, Janice Wood of Michie, Tennessee and 2 brothers, Tommy Churchwell of Michie, Tennessee and Danny Churchwell and his wife, Kay of Michie, TennesseeMr. Churchwell was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jonathan Churchwell and one brother, Buster Churchwell
