Mr. Sasser died Thursday, September 20, 2012, at his home in Hampshire, Tennessee.
A native of Middleton, he was the son of the late Walter B. Sasser and Lorraine Bishop Sasser. He graduated from Middleton High School in the class of 1966 and was a graduate of Louisiana State University (LSU). Mr. Sasser served in the US Army having been stationed in Germany in the 1960's. Most of his life was spent in Texas and he had lived the past few years in Hampshire.
He leaves 3 sisters, Annette Ashley and her husband, Carl Schmidt, of Santa Barbara, CA, Becky S. Sasser of Jackson and Anita Campbell and her husband, Duane, of Sammamish, WA; 3 brothers, Walter B. Sasser, III of Seattle, WA, Thomas L. Sasser and his wife, Retta, of Bolivar and Charles E. Sasser and his wife, Laura Teague, of Baton Rouge, LA; his special friend, Pam Smith of Murfreesboro, TN; 10 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Derek Schmidt.
