Joey Plunk departed this life on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the age of 40 years, 2 months, and 9 days. He was born in Selmer, Tennessee on September 13, 1976 the son of Buddy Plunk and the late Linda Kay Hill Plunk. On May 9, 2003 he was united in marriage to Patty Smith, who survives.
Joey was a self-employed as a handyman. His first job out of school was BN&K Construction and he had also worked as a welder for Jones Exhaust. He was a member of River Heights Pentecostal Church. Joey was a wonderful father and loved his children. He enjoyed video games, reading, studying history, joking around, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Patty Plunk of Crump, Tennessee; daughter, Shay Plunk of Crump, Tennessee; stepson, Cody Smith of Crump, Tennessee; father, Buddy Plunk, of Crump, Tennessee; sisters, Terecia Kay Crewse of Adamsville, Tennessee and Amy Lynn Watson of Humbolt, Tennessee; brother, Mark Anthony Plunk of Crump, Tennessee; mother-in-law, Patty Terry of Selmer, Tennessee; father-in-law, Paul Smith of Illinois; and numerous family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Willow Leif Plunk.
