John C. Barnes Jr., age 68, of Hornsby, TN departed this life on Saturday, September 19, 2015. John was a retired Lieutenant at Shelby County Penal Farm.
He leaves a wife of 17 years, Lou Ellen Barnes; a son Mark Thomas and wife Amy of Wheeler, MS; 3 grandchildren, Ryan, Preston and Brooke Thomas; brother, Jack Barnes Sr. and wife Teresa of Hornsby, TN; sister, Verlinda Lineberry of Hornsby, TN; 3 nephews and one great niece.
He was preceded in death by his father, John C. Barnes, Sr. and his mother, Velma Barnes.
At John's request, there will no funeral or memorial service.
