John Oliver Berg

John Oliver Berg of Finger, Tennessee, was born on November 28, 1938, in Plymouth, Indiana, to the late Edward W. Berg and Ruth Pratt Berg. He was a retired United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with 22 1/2 years service. He received many decorations, medals, and ribbons in conjunction with the distinguished service he gave to his country. He was united in marriage to Jane E. Nusbaum who preceded him in death on April 4, 2006. They had made their home in McNairy County since 1981.
Mr. Berg departed this life on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at his home at the age of 70 years, 9 months, and 26 days.
Survivors are a daughter, Alicia Jane Berg of Finger, Tennessee; two sons, John Oliver Berg, Jr. of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Wade Allen Berg of Selmer, Tennessee; a brother, Michael Edward Berg of Bremen, Indiana; two grandchildren, Taylor Jane Berg and John Edward Berg.
A host of other relatives and friends.
