John R. Brewer

John R. (Buck) Brewer of Collinwood, TN was born November 28, 1923 in Waterloo, AL, the son of the late Sam Washington and Roxie Elizabeth White Brewer. He was united in marriage to Edna Earl Staggs on August 10, 1944. Mr. Brewer was a mechanic. Mr. Brewer departed this life on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Wayne Care Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 4 Months, 5 Days.He is survived by his wife, Edna Earl Staggs Brewer; sons, Ronnie Mac (Lightenin) Brewer, Dexter Dan Brewer, Paul Travis Brewer; daughters, Carolyn Ann Staggs, Kathy Diane Skillern, Mona Lisa Wooten all of Collinwood, TN; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lincoln Brewer of Lythville, IL; a sister, Ruth Brewer of St. Louis, MO; nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by a son, Gary Brewer; a grt-grandchild, Chyenne Skillern; sisters, Lucille Gray, Maybelle Brewer, Pearl Brewer.Services will be Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in McGlamery Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.
