JOHN CREWS
John Woody Crews, age 43, died Saturday morning, June 8, 2013 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Mr. Crews was born and reared in Chester County, the son of the late Elco Crews and Ruby Morton Frye Crews. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1988. He has worked for the City of Henderson Utility Department his entire working career. John loved his family, he was very proud of his nieces and nephews. He was a very good cook.
He was survived by five brothers; Tommy Crews, Jim Frye and wife Patricia all of Henderson, Clyde Frye and wife Elsie of Gibson, TN, Larry Crews and wife Wanda of Scotts Hill, TN and W.T. Crews and Jeanette of Talladega, AL., two sisters Dianne Crews and husband Johnny of Selmer and Belinda Goff and husband Jimmy of Scotts Hill, TN., also his dear friends Kayron and Tom Parker of Jacks Creek and Chris Holmes of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his father Elco Crews and mother Ruby Morton Frye Crews.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey chapel with Ken Kitchen, Tom Parker, and Johnny Hudson officiating. Burial will be in the Cave Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday.
