John Patrick "Pat" Epps

July 19, 1950 — August 4, 2025

John Patrick Epps was born July 19, 1950 in Lake Jackson, Texas to his late parents, Columbus Lewis Epps and Hope Jameson Epps. He died on August 4, 2025 in Adamsville, TN after battling Lewy Body Dementia/Parkinson’s.

Pat is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Vivian White Epps. He is also survived by his son, Caleb Epps (Jaime), and daughter Arian Epps Elliott (Rusty). He had 5 grandchildren, Douglas and Vera Epps, and Tytus, Lincoln and Jade Elliott. He also had a host of close cousins he is survived by. In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his brother Mike. Pat’s career took him all over the world in the oil and gas industry, including the Middle East, Japan, S. Korea, Russia, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, and all over North America. His travels resulted in lifelong friendships.

Pat considered himself a Christian with a strong belief in God. Beyond his professional career, he was a man of many passions. He loved the outdoors, hunting, golfing, fishing, and grilling out with family and friends. He always said his greatest achievement in life was his family whom he loved dearly. He was so proud of each and every one of them.
