JOHN FOSTER
Henderson, TN: John Leonard Foster, Jr. age 72 passed away November 3, 2019 at his home.
He was born February 14, 1947 in Jackson and grew up in Memphis, the son of the late John Leonard Foster, Sr. and Opal Maurine Lott Foster. He graduated from Messick High School in Memphis in 1965 and attended Memphis State. He married Justene Keith in 1971. They made their home in Henderson since 1975. He worked as a service representative for Bell South for twenty-seven years. After his retirement he worked part time with David Guinn at Guinn Tires and Guinn’s Rental Service.
He was a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church, and loved helping with vacation bible school. The love of his life was his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Justene Ludy Keith Foster of Henderson; a son David Foster (Christy) of Knoxville and a daughter, Amy Clenney (Steve) of Parsons; five grandchildren, Jed Clenney, Katie Clenney, Isabel Foster, Morgan Foster and Hadley Foster and a brother, David Foster of Henderson.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Cave Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating. Burial will follow in Cave Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue 5 PM until 8 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday morning 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM.
