JOHN GREGORY, SR.

Henderson, TN: John Douglas Gregory, Sr., age 68, passed away June 10, 2026, at his home in Henderson.

He was born in Berea, Kentucky on September 23, 1957, son of the late John A. and Pearl Marie Croucher Gregory.

John met the love of his life, Leisa Dailey, on October 28, 1994. Shortly, they married on January 14, 1995, and have been married for 31 years.

He enjoyed mowing, yard work and gardening, practically anything you could eat! On Saturdays and Sundays, you would find John glued to his recliner watching NASCAR. He also enjoyed woodwork.

John and Danny, his father-in-law, enjoyed siting at the table in the evenings and “shootin the crap” about stuff that happened 40 plus years ago.

Believe it or not, John was a baker! Making banana bread, which would make you want to slap your mama, and his delicious german chocolate cake.

John is survived by his wife, Leisa Gregory; three sons, Donald Gregory (Megan) of Parsons, John Gregory, Jr. (April) and Luke Pollock, Jr. (Samantha) both of Henderson; two daughters, Leslie Cruzen of Nashville and Heather Pollock of Henderson; two brothers, Billy Gregory and Michael Jones both of Beech Bluff; fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Anderson “Boogie” in October of 2000.

John was a man loved by all, especially by his family. He will be missed.
