John William Griffin

John William Griffin departed this life on Sunday, February, 24, 2013, at the age of 96 years, 9 months, 15 days.He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee the son of the late Minor and Viola Majors Griffin. John was united in marriage to Edra Rebecca Maners, who preceded him in death. He was a farmer by trade and loved what he did, he also loved to garden. He was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church.Mr. Griffin is survived by a daughter, Sandy Griffin of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; nephews, Jerry Polk and Danny Polk; nieces, Pat Mullins and Maxine Love; several great nephews and nieces.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Griffin.
