John Russell Harris

Mr. Harris was born July 31, 1959, to John Russell, Sr. and Marjorie

Ann Green Harris in Memphis, Tennessee. He moved to Hickory

Valley in 1976 and was a very active member of the First United

Methodist Church in Grand Junction where he helped with the

church bulletins and attended Lakeshore Summer Camp. He

helped his father on the farm and worked in the workshop at ACE.

Mr. Harris had a big smile, was very loving, concerned for the sick

and those hurting; he never met a stranger or forgot a name or a

face.



In addition to his parents, survivors include a sister Darlene Shelton

and husband Rocky of Franklin, TN; a brother, Scott Harris and

friend Christy of Hickory Valley; a niece, Allie Shelton, and a

nephew, Blake Shelton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
