John Gilbert Kennedy

John Gilbert Kennedy was born September 22, 1940 in McNairy County, TN, the son of the late Gilbert Elihu and Dorothy Allene Kirk Kennedy. He was united in marriage to Mary Sue Kiser on October 6, 1968. Mrs. Kennedy preceded him in death in 1983. He and Mary Sue had attended Fourth Street Church of Christ in Selmer, Tennessee. John was retired and had worked for Brown Shoe Company for 20 years were he served in the Union as a Shop Steward. He later worked for Clarence Johnson Cabinet Shop. Mr. Kennedy departed this life on May 10, 2017 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 7 Months, 18 Days

He is survived by two sisters, Dorthy Jo Jarnagin and husband Charles of Selmer, TN, Maida Sue Coln and husband Russell of Selmer, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by a sister, Jayne Alice Lipford.
