John T. McIntyre of Bethel Springs was born on June 11, 1921, to the late Grover C. and Ina B. Manuel McIntire. He was a longtime farmer and also worked for 17 years as a Psychiatric Technician at Western Mental Health in Bolivar, Tennessee.Mr. McIntyre passed from this life on Sunday, February 1, 2009, at McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer at the age of 87 years, 7 months, and 22 days.Survivors are his wife Omilee Montgomery McIntyre of Bethel Springs; one son, Jock McIntyre and wife Susan of Beech Bluff, Tennessee, a daughter, Jackie Bateman and husband Donald of Fairview, Tennessee; brother, Bill McIntyre of Bolivar, Tennessee; sister, Ina Jacobs of Hendersonville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Jennifer Messer of Memphis, John McIntyre of South Korea, Robbie McIntyre of Memphis, and Austin Bateman of Paris, Tennessee; three great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Messer, Anna Grace Messer, and Jacob Bateman.A host of other relatives and friends.Mr. McIntyre was preceded in death by a granddaughter Lee Bateman Munday.
