John Simmons

John Simmons was born on November 15, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late James Elton and Betty Irene Deshazier Simmons.

On July 4, 2015, he was united in marriage to Jennica Toma, who survives.

John worked as a direct support professional for Easter Seals. He enjoyed working, playing pool, and going fishing. He also enjoyed creating and fixing different things. He loved spending time with his family, especially during Christmas.

John Simmons departed this life on March 27, 2026 in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 59 years, 4 months, and 12 days.

He is survived by his wife Jennica Simmons; children, Brittany (John), Courtney Calvery (Daniel), Conner (Anna), Lillian, Joshua, Savannah, Sadie, Lacie, Jaxon, and Carter; sisters, Marilyn Alexander and Debbie Gannon; brother, Jeff Clay; mother-in-law, Mary Toma; sister-in-law, Jessica Morgan; and a host of grandchildren.
