Services for John Wayne Stricklin, age 69, of Clifton will be Friday, March 25, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Billy Wright and Leamon Quillen officiating. Masonic rites following services. Burial will follow in the Worley Cemetery on Beech Creek with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge.Pallbearers are Richard Gray, Willard Pope, Terry Alley, Mike Lewis, Jerry Anderson, Brian Smith, Donald Warren, and David Decker.A lifelong resident of Wayne County, Mr. Stricklin was born February 3, 1942 in Waynesboro, Tennessee the son of the late John Albert and Laura Gladys Davis Stricklin. Mr. Stricklin died Wednesday, March 23, 2011at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee. In addition to his parents, Mr. Stricklin was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Ray Stricklin who died December 3, 2008; brother, Glendal Stricklin; two sisters, Norma White and Donna Smith. Mr. Stricklin, a disabled carpenter and U.S. Navy veteran, was a member of Old Union Church and Clifton Masonic Lodge.He is survived by a daughter, Tina Renee Stricklin Holt; a son, Steven Wayne Stricklin; two grandchildren, Derrick Holt and Renee Holt all of Clifton, TN.
