Johnnie F. Brewer

Johnnie F. Brewer was born August 30, 1938 in Cypress Inn, TN the son of the late Benjamin Harrison and Mary Esther Whitehead Brewer. He was united in marriage to Betty Ruth on October 5, 1956.Mr. Brewer departed this life at his home on September 29, 2018 in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years. John survived a sawmill accident ,in which he lost his sight, in 1974. After his recovery he graduated from Nashville Auto Diesel College. He worked for the Tennessee Department of Transportation in Nashville ,where he and Betty lived until returning to Waynesboro in 2005. John loved the Lord and his wife "Betty" with all his heart, he also loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he was very proud of and gave many smiles throughout the years. He attended Piney Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed learning from Shepherds Chapel.

Mr. Brewer is survived by his wife Betty Ruth Brewer of Waynesboro, TN; two daughters, Sherry (Greg) Hildreth of Pomona, CA, Karen Nielson of Waynesboro, TN; two brothers, Grayford Brewer of Salem, KY, Howard (Jeanie) Brewer of Lutts, TN; a sister, Alma Lee Bromley of Iron City, TN; six grandchildren, Chris (Marsha) Nielson, Kevin (Krissy) Nielson, Amber Nielson, Ashlee (Rob) Bentley, Joshua ( Amy) Hildreth, Ciara Hildreth; seven great grandchildren, Trevor (Marquise) Nielson, Trace Nielson, Kalun Nielson, Kadence Nielson, Rayden Dutton, Jayden Dutton, Cole Hildreth with two more on the way.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by a son, Johnny G. Brewer; six brothers, Jemes Brewer, Bill Brewer, Ray Brewer, Charles Brewer, Grady Brewer, J. W. Brewer; five sisters, Mary Elizabeth Brewer, Rachel Byron, Hazel Weaver, Iva Dean Milam, Lillie Brewer; Grandparents, John Bell Brewer, Hannah Horton Brewer;

Services will be held on October 5, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors at Collinwood in Collinwood, Tennessee, with officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery at Cypress Inn, Tennessee
