JOHNNIE MARIE GADDY

Henderson, TN: Johnnie Marie Morrison Gaddy, age 93, passed away September 22, 2026, at Southern Oaks Assisted Living.

She was born Henderson, TN on March 10, 1933, to the late John Richard and Ethel Serena Davis Morrison. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1952.

Johnnie worked at Salant and Salant for a period later working at Patterson Grocery Store.

She retired from Freed Hardeman University as a registration clerk.

In 1958, Ed and Johnnie married and made their home in Henderson. He preceded her in death October 5, 2020.

Johnnie loved shopping with her sister, Judy. She enjoyed spending time with both of her sisters. She was a devoted caretaker and was loyal to her mother, Ethel, and visited her every day, never missing a day.

She loved her grandkids and her family dearly.

She is survived by a son, Jeff Gaddy (Ann) of Henderson; daughter, Stephanie Doster (John) of Louisville, KY; a sister, Judy Patterson; three grandchildren, Peyton Atkins (Matthew), Drew Doster, and Molly Chenoweth-Gaddy (Nick) and one great grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; a sister, Joyce Hooper; and two brothers, Richard and Jerry Morrison.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday September 26, 2026, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating. Burial will follow at Chester County Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue on Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
