Johnnie Jones

Jackson, TN: Johnnie Scott Jones, age 90, passed away June 14, 2011 at Maplewood Healthcare in Jackson, TN.



She is survived by granddaughters; Gina Uher of Hernando, MS and Tina Long of Jackson, TN, sister; Christine Holley of Henderson, TN, step-son; Wallace Jones of Kalispell, MT, and a great grandson; Jacob Bryan of Jackson, TN.



Other immediate family members deceased are: T. J. Jones, husband: Randy Jones, son; Betty Jones, daughter; Don Jones, step-son; sisters & brothers, Ed Scott, Thomas Scott, Lon Scott, Maggie Randolph, Ludie Bell Thornhill & Lula McCaskill.



She is also survived by: step-granddaughters, Tammy Jones (Benicia, CA), Kathy Phan (Kalispell, MT), Vivian Jones (Portland, OR), Kim Troxell (Fallon, NV) & Kay Norvik (Columbia, VA); step-grandsons: Donnie Jones (Menifee, CA), Rick Jones (Sonora, CA) Calvin Jones (Wylie, TX) & Shawn Jones (Pleasanton, CA).



Johnnie also has a host of extended and beloved family members that are not listed, but she loved them dearly.



She was born and raised in Chester County, the daughter of the late William Andrew and Octavia Williams Scott. She was educated in the schools of Chester County. On January 25, 1941 she married T. J. Jones of Selmer, TN. They made their home in Jackson, TN from 1942 until 1945, and then moved to Oakland, CA. Mr. Jones was employed in auto sales and real estate. She moved back to Jackson, TN in 1979. Mr. Jones died in April 1997. She was a very active member of the North Jackson Church of Christ. She was also the best cook there ever was. She and T. J. loved to entertain.
