Johnnie R Smith

Johnnie Rhea Goodwin Smith was born February 11, 1934 in Chester County, TN the daughter of the late Jessie Warren and Lessie Ann Miller Goodwin. Mrs.Smith departed this life on June 17, 2017 at her home in Henderson, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 4 Months, 6 Days.

She attended Chester County Schools. She was united in marriage to Charles Smith on February 12, 1950. Mr. Smith preceded her in death in 1982. Mrs. Smith worked as a seamstress at Chester Manufacturing for 40 years. She later worked in the Chester County School System at East Chester Elementary School. She was a member of the Sweetlips Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Donna Murphy and husband Wendell of Henderson, TN, Jackie Fletcher and husband Joe of Henderson, TN, Betty Terry and husband Kenny of Henderson, TN; two sons, Charles Smith and wife Vickie of Henderson, TN, Randy Smith and wife Ann of Henderson, TN; two sisters, Bertha Tedford of Bemis, TN, Jo Ann Fowler of Henderson, TN; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Smith of Bells, TN; nine grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs.Smith was preceded in death by a son, Benny Smith.

Pallbearers will be Randy Smith, Shannon Terry, Casey Smith, Shane Smith, Kaleb Smith, Kirby Smith, Joseph Talley.
