Mrs. Nelms passed away Tuesday morning, April 26, 2011 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widow of William "Bill" Nelms, who died April 21, 2000 after 23 years of marriage, she worked in assembly at Harmon Automotive and Tennessee Foods. Mrs. Nelms was born June 21, 1931 in Hardeman County to the late Neal Stanley and Tennie Lois Donaldson Stanley and lived all of her life here. She was a member of New Bethany Church of Christ.
She is survived by six nieces, Judy Cupples, Betty Callahan, Joy Scott, Rosie King, Lori Barkley and Lisa Barton; six nephews, Delbert, Wayne and Harold McKee and Rudy, Rocky and David Stanley; and several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jewel Stanley McKee and Chastine Luttrell; three brothers, Penny, Dock and Nick Stanley; a niece, Barbara Dacus; and a nephew, Donnie Stanley.
