Joseph "Joe" Harold Robinson

Mr. Joe Robinson departed this life on September 12, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 11 Months, 4 Days.

He was born October 8, 1942 in Somers Point, NJ the son of the late Walter Lewis and Hazel Elbertson Robinson. He grew up in New Jersey then moved to Florida at age 23. He later met Linda Carter and they were united in marriage on March 25, 1968. They made their home in Fort Pierce, Florida where Joe worked as a heavy equipment operator. They moved to Saltillo, TN on January 1, 2012. He loved playing music and singing. He could play numerous instruments. He loved his family and especially enjoyed taking his grandson Dalton out to eat. He was Baptist in faith.

He is survived by his wife Linda Robinson of Saltillo, TN; a son, Donny Robinson and wife Christine of Saltillo, TN; a sister, Ella Colborn of Durham, NC; a brother, Kenny Robinson of Somers Point, NJ; a grandchild, Dalton Wayne Robinson.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Jean Ford and a brother, Walter Robinson.

Services will be held on September 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with Malcolm Carter II officiating. Burial will follow in the Sardis Cemetery at Sardis, Tennessee.
