Josephine Haggard

Josephine Rainey Haggard departed this life on Monday, August 20, 2012, at the age of 88 years.She was born August 20, 1924, Dora Josephine Rainey the daughter of the late John Thomas and Roxie Hannah Brooks Rainey. On August 9, 1947, she was united in marriage to Byrl Hollice Haggard, who survives. Ms. Josephine was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church and Woodmen of the World. She loved sewing, making quilts, gardening and was a good cook.Ms. Josephine is survived by her husband of 65 years, Byrl Haggard of Savannah, Tennessee; daughters, Patsy Milligan and husband Anthony, Beverly Nesbitt and husband Charles, Jan Austin and Vernie Stricklin all of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Terry Haggard and wife Kelly of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Angie Milligan Brasher, Adam Milligan, Dana Nesbitt Stricklin, Ben Nesbitt, Katie Haggard, Tori Haggard and Jessica Austin; great grandchildren, Bailey Brasher, Rylie Brasher, Will Stricklin and Nathan Nesbitt.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her sisters, Lorene Rainey Fitts, Ara Belle Rainey Alexander and Lucille Rainey Davis; brothers, Gilbert Rainey, Warner Rainey, Adley Rainey, J.T. Rainey and infant brother Robert A. Rainey.
