Joy Dean Westerfield, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away August 7, 2011 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
A native of Middleton, she was the daughter of Troy McAlpin and Nancy Miranda Eldis Howell McAlpin. Joy was a homemaker for most of her life who loved to crochet and go shopping. She was Baptist in belief and had lived in California, Arkansas and Missouri.
Survivors include 3 sons, Roger Del Westerfield of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Stephen Wayne Westerfield and his wife Laura of Moore, Oklahoma; Joel Patrick Westerfield and his wife Christy of Ozark, Missouri; a daughter, Susan Diane Rodden of Simi Valley, California; 1 brother, Billy Wade McAlpin of Elizabethton, Kentucky; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Miller Westerfield; brothers, Vernon, Estelle, Virgil, and Wayne McAlpin; Sisters, Oease Jackson, Janette McAlpin and an infant sister who died at birth.
