Joyce Davis was born in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Jesse Jefferson and Lovie Sophie Morton Clement.
On December 7, 1957, she was united in marriage to James Vernon Davis, who preceded her in death on January 24, 2015.
Joyce retired from Angelica where she was a sewing machine operator. She was a member of Living Waters Foursquare Church. She lived in Cerro Gordo on top of the hill all her life. Joyce loved family get togethers, playing cards with her sisters and family, playing piano at church, four-wheeling around the hill and the creek, and country dancing with her husband James.
Joyce Davis departed this life on March 6, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 85 years, 3 months, and 13 days.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Joyce Burross of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Tamara Burross Grisanti and Brooke Bingham; and great grandchild, Hallie Demery Oakley.
In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her sisters, Velma Casteel Barlow, Lou Ellen Rainey, Naomi Hunt, Inez McCasland, and Belva Harrison; and brothers, J.C. and James Clement.
