Joyce E. Scott

Mrs. Scott passed away Saturday evening at her home in Saulsbury.



The widow of Lonnie E. Scott, who died on May 25, 1989, after 36 years of marriage, she was a homemaker. She was born June 15, 1929 in Potsdam, New York to Ervin and Manie Crossman Leonard and lived here since 1950. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church where she served in various positions for 38 years.



Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Heather Jo Moore (Johnny) of Hornsby and Sherry Doles (Gene) of Pocahontas; two sons and their wives, Robert Scott (Julia) of Saulsbury and Michael Scott (Donna) of Hornsby; a sister, Pearl Jean Brown of Dunnellon, Florida; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; eight step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Scott Dean, a brother, Vernon Leonard and a sister, Iris Rexford.
