Finger, TN: Joyce Ann Forrester Smith, age 72 passed away February 6, 2015 at her home.
She was born April 5, 1942 in Nashville and grew at Dickson, the daughter of the late Samuel Robert and Gladys Marie Plunkett Forrester. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1960 and married James Earl Smith in 1962. They made their home at Pinson and Henderson. She worked at Salant & Salant Mfg. and later as a packing technician at the Bendix Corporation in Jackson and then five years at Delta Faucet.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, James Earl Smith of Finger; a son, Kevin Smith (Jennifer) of Henderson and a daughter, Lisa Smith Alexander (Kerry Goff) of Henderson; three grandchildren, Kyle Stringfellow (Samantha), Blake Smith and Kaylea Smith; two great grandchildren, Madison and Emily Stringfellow; two brothers, Clifford Forrester of Anglin, TX and Samuel Forrester of Nashville and two sisters, Lula Nash of Lexington and Janet Newsome of Luray.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Elon Forrester.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Sunday February 15, 2015 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 12 Noon on Sunday.
