Joyce Fay Odom Whitehead

Joyce Fay Odom Whitehead departed this life on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing & Rehabilation Center in Florence, Alabama at the age of 65 Years, 1 Month, 16 Days. She was born January 12, 1952 in Hohenwald, TN the daughter of Mary Helen Hinson Odom of Waynesboro, TN, who survives and the late Sandy Willis Odom.

Mrs. Joyce was a former dietary worker at Lewis County Hospital.

Other than her mother, she is survived by her companion, Jimmy Robbins of Lutts, TN; son, James Lee Whitehead and wife, Kim of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter, Janice Lynn Whitehead Bell and husband, Kevin of Hohenwald, TN; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Wayne Odom of Waynesboro, TN; sister, Ruby Nell Rostas and husband, Rick of Waynesboro, TN and nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Ken Littrell and Tommy Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in the North Highland Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 6 to 9 pm and Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 10 am until service time at the funeral home.
