Joyce M. Wilson

Joyce M. Wilson was born January 22, 1945 in Tacoma, WA the daughter of the late Clyde Edward and Marcella Scoggin Gerdes.

She was united in marriage to William W. Wilson on May 2, 1964.

Mrs. Wilson operated a dog grooming business while living in Texas and Oklahoma. The last 17 years of her life were spent in McNairy County, TN where she worked for Moore Veterinary Clinic. She lived in several Southwestern and Midwestern states prior to moving to McNairy County. Mrs. Wilson enjoyed working in her yard and loved fellowshipping with her church family, where she served as the unofficial "church hugger."

Mrs. Wilson departed this life on January 10, 2016 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 11 Months, 19 Days. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, William W. (Bill) Wilson of Bethel Springs, TN; two sons, Wade William Wilson and wife Stacey of Colorado Springs, CO and Kenneth Edward Wilson of Denton, TX; five grandchildren: Cole Wilson, Emma Wilson, Jack Wilson, Zach Wilson, and Chase Wilson; a sister, Nancy of Iowa; a brother, Richard Gerdes and wife Gayle of Sacramento, CA; and many extended family and friends.
