J.T. Locke

J. T. Locke was born March 6, 1925 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late Beal Columbus and Hattie Agnes Johnson Locke.

He was united in marriage to Marie Hurst on February 23, 1946. Mrs. Locke preceded him in death on November 27, 1999.

Mr. Locke worked for Brown Shoe Company for 18 years and General Electric for 15 years. He enjoyed watching westerns, riding his four-wheeler and backhoe. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy during World War II.

Mr. Locke departed this life on August 28, 2018 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 5 Months, 22 Days. He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Robinson of Selmer, TN; a son, James Albert Locke of Selmer, TN; three grandchildren, Tina Lynn Brown and husband Tim of Eastview, TN, Rhonda Leigh Way and husband Dan of Selmer, TN, James Nathan Locke and wife Rachel of Memphis, TN; six great grandchildren, Christian and Austin Brown, Anne Marie, Daniel and Harrison Way, Hazel Jean Locke; two sisters, Agnes McGee of Selmer, TN, Elsie Jane Kirkman and husband Joe of Ripley, MS; a brother, Bobby Gene Locke of Selmer, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Locke was preceded in death by four sisters, Lula Sanders, Graple Isbell, Dorothy Isbell, Lila Fern Qualls; three brothers, Carl Lee Locke, Harl C. Locke, Arlie B. Locke.
