Juanita Mabry Thompson

Juanita Mabry Thompson was born in Savannah, Tennessee on November 24, 1928. She went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2020 at the age of 91 years and departed this life at Beth Sholom Home in Richmond, Virginia.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents Hundley and Ida Mabry and her husband Ovid D. Thompson. She is survived by her daughter, Patsy K. Bragg and her husband, Don, and a granddaughter, Erin Michelle Bragg.


Juanita had worked for Clifton Manufacturing, as a beautician for several years in Savannah, Tennessee, and at a bakery in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. She enjoyed traveling Europe and lived in Germany for five years. Juanita was devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking, flower gardening and most of all animals. She rescued many animals over the years and took great care of them.

The family would like to thank everyone in Savannah for their help and support over the years, as well as Beth Sholom Home in Richmond, Virginia where Juanita had lived for the last five years.
