Mrs. Judy Vincent of Bolivar departed this life Wednesday night, November 28, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
The wife of Lewis Vincent, who survives, she worked as a ward clerk with Western Mental Health Institute. She also formerly worked as a clerk at Wal-Mart. She was born May 28, 1949 in New Albany, Miss., to the late Lawrence Goodman Herod and Opaline Weeks Herod. She married Lewis Vincent on December 23, 1967 and they lived in Virginia and Texas for a couple of years prior to moving here. She lived most of her life in Bolivar. She was a member of the Women's VFW Auxillary and attended Abundant Life Christian Fellowship Church and was a member of Middleton First Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Angela Vincent French of Bolivar; a granddaughter, Autumn French of Bolivar; a sister, Jimmie Lou Herod Freeman of Ramer and a brother, John Herod of Adamsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Flake; a brother, Billy Herod and her grandmother, Ora Weeks.
