Mrs. Richardson passed away Monday night, July 26, 2010 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The widow of William Edward "Billy" Richardson, Sr., who died June 7, 2010 after 38 years of marriage, she retired in 1996 as a psychiatric technician at Western Mental Health Institute. Mrs. Richardson was born August 23, 1953 in Pocahontas to Clyde and Mary Nell Flake of Pocahontas and lived all of her life here. She was a member of Oak Grove Independent Methodist Church, where she played the piano and sang and was a graduate of Middleton High School class of 1971. She sang gospel music in the 1950's and 60's and enjoyed taking pictures.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter and her husband, Machelle Park and Tim of Pocahontas; a son and his wife, William E. "Eddie" Richardson, Jr. and Autumn of Pocahontas; two brothers and their wives, Jimmy Flake and Diane, Larry Flake and Cindy, all of Pocahontas; three sisters and their husbands, Donna Ramsey and J.M., Dana Doyle and Jerry, all of Middleton, Diane Jones and William of Pocahontas; five grandchildren, Ashley and Jonathon Wilbanks, Kayla and Kendall Park, Madison Richardson; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Nelda Cochran and Jerry of Calera, AL.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a child of whom she had guardianship, Brenda Sandy.
