Henderson, TN: June Ernestine Davis age 95 passed away July 7, 2020 at Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born June 1, 1925 in Jackson, TN, the daughter of the late Truman Gay and Lola Corien Bell. She grew up in Chester County in the Chickasaw area. She married Claude Houston Davis shortly after graduating from Chester County High School. They lived in the Chickasaw area all their married life. She worked at Salant & Salant for about thirty to thirty five years.
She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her son and grandsons.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her son Edward Davis and fiancé, Melissa Maxine Grokulsky of Bartlett, TN; two grandchildren, Houston Ray Davis and Alaric Edward Davis and a brother, Horace Ray Bell of Smyrna, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Lemuel Bell.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Ken Frye officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 12:00 PM Saturday until service time 2:00 PM.
