JUNELL RUTH BEARDEN
Jackson, TN: Thelma Junell Ruth Bearden age 79 passed away March 30, 2017 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born June 1, 1937 in Chester County, the daughter of the late Leland Glen and Katie Irene Hearn Ruth. She graduated from J.B. Young High School at Bemis and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Library Science from Lambeth University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She married John Frank Bearden, Jr. and they made their home in Blytheville, AR. She worked at Mississippi County Community College in Blytheville. She later moved to Jackson and worked for BanCorp South. She was a member of the Lester’s Chapel Church.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren playing board games.
Mrs. Bearden is survived by a daughter, Chalet R. Parks of Somerville; five grandchildren, Ailyssin Dacus, Carley Parks, Leland Williamson, Tyler Williamson and Jesse Williamson; a great grandchild, Ainisley McKenna Dacus and a brother, William Glen Ruth of Martinsburg, WV.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Julie Lynn Williamson in 2011.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Joe Thornton and Leland Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 1:00 PM on Sunday.
