Junell Mace Stanfield was born on March 24, 1927 in McNairy County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Ira Ben and EsteLee McGarity Mace.
On March 4, 1978, she was united in marriage to her second husband, Willie G. Stanfield, who preceded his wife in death on April 10, 2004. She was blessed with four daughters, Nancy, Elizabeth, Carolyn, and Debbie and nine grandchildren, Gary, Shara, David, Terry, Ronda, Teresa, Angie, Autumn, and Elke.
Junell grew up in the McNairy County area and lived in Savannah, Tennessee for most of her life before moving to Bartlett, Tennessee 20 years ago. She loved spending time outdoors mowing and tending to her yard. She was also a gifted seamstress and used her talent working at Garan Manufacturing for 35 years. Junell was a Christian and enjoyed watching Joel Osteen Ministries. She also loved to listen to gospel and country music.
Junell Mace Stanfield departed this life on October 10, 2025 in Bartlett, Tennessee, at the age of 98 years, 6 months, and 16 days.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Clausel Stephenson (Larry), Elizabeth Clausel Wilkerson, and Carolyn Clausel Johnson (Richard); grandchildren, Shara, Terry, Ronda, Teresa, Angie, Autumn, and Elke; 14 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Junell was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Ben and EsteLee McGarity Mace; her beloved husband, Willie G. Stanfield; daughter, Debbie Clausel Alexander; 6 brothers; 4 sisters; grandchildren, Gary Wilkerson and David Clark; son in law, Hank Warren; and her beloved dog, Rusty.
