Junior Raines, born on July 14, 1934, in Michie, Tennessee, peacefully departed this life on January 3, 2026, in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 91.

A proud graduate of Michie High School, class of 1952, Roscoe served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959. Following his service, he relocated to Memphis, where he embarked on a fulfilling 30-year career with International Harvester.

Throughout his life, he remained deeply rooted in his community and faith, attending the First Baptist Church in Michie, TN after his retirement. He had a passion for music, particularly enjoying playing the fiddle.

Mr. Raines is survived by his son, Terry Dale Raines of Olive Branch, MS; his sister, Scarlett Howard King of Jackson, TN; and his grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Wilkerson Raines; parents, Nellie Blanton Howard and John Thomas Howard; daughter, Rhonda Raines; a sister, Peggy Howard Dunn.

Junior Raines will be remembered for his dedication to family, service to his country, and love of music. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
