Junior Weatherly

Junior Weatherly, born on July 8, 1944, in the Pleasant Site community of McNairy County, Tennessee, was the beloved son of the late Alvin Richard and Lois Marie Hopkins Weatherly. A member of the Piney Grove Church of God, Junior also attended Center Ridge Pentecostal Church of God, where his faith remained an integral part of his life. He cherished attending church services.

Junior served as a supervisor at River Heights Manufacturing, showcasing his strong work ethic and commitment. He also embraced the life of a farmer, nurturing crops and tending to his cattle, which he took great pride in. He had a passion for landscaping, often found pressure washing sidewalks and siding to beautify his surroundings and others.

In his leisure time, Junior enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, gardening, and raising chickens. Known for his warm and engaging personality, he never met a stranger and relished the opportunity to connect with others. Many fondly remember him sitting on his front porch in a rocking chair, savoring a good cup of coffee, a cigarette and a quiet moment.

Above all, his greatest love was for his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose legacy will continue through them.
