Kaden Emmanuel Hammond was born in Bradenton, Florida on December 18, 2003, welcomed by his parents Jacob “Jake” Andrew and Karen Lee Kerestesy Hammond. In his 13 short years this remarkable young man developed hobbies and interests that were quite unlike those of most teenagers. Instead of playing video games he would rather be in the garden taking care of his plants. Cross planting species and grafting banana trees and tomato plants were his special projects and he could grow almost anything he touched. That love of the outdoors and all things green led to his membership in the 4-H Club as well as activities such as rock collecting and fishing. One of the few hobbies that kept him inside was coin collecting. Kaden was a member of the Eagle II Home Schooling Group and spent much of his spare time learning about forestry, gardening, and planting.
Kaden left us on February 26, 2017 at the age of 13 years, 2 months and 8 days. Other than his parents, Kaden is survived by his brothers Jacob and Caleb Hammond and his grandparents Teresa and Wade Hammond, Stacie Schmitt, and Sunny Dodd-Hammond.
