Henderson, TN: Karen Lynn Bell Thomas age 66 passed away Thursday morning, November 10, 2016 at her home.
She was born August 23, 1950 in Chester County, the daughter of Geneva Mae Tucker Bell and the late Joseph Lafayette “Joe” Bell. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1968 and married Danny Thomas the same year. She started to work at Bell’s Drive-In at the age of twelve, had worked their all her working career. She had been co-owner of the family business for over twenty years. She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.
She had a strong passion for her grandchildren, and loved family vacations and loved the view from “The Hill”, her and Danny’s home.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband Danny Thomas of Henderson; a daughter, Amy Nicole Thomas Bell and husband Brian of Henderson; a granddaughter, Audrey Grace Thomas of Henderson; a daughter-in-law, Laura Thomas of Henderson, her mother, Geneva Bell of Henderson; two brothers, Danny Bell and wife Glenda and Phillip Bell all of Henderson and a special friend, Jeanette Hutcherson.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Joseph Thomas, August 16, 2016; a grandson, Christopher Daniel Thomas, July 27, 2015 and a brother, Stan Bell in 2015.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating. Burial will follow in Cave Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 5:00 PM on Friday.
