Kathleen C. Smithwas born in Wayne County, Tennessee on December 12, 1940 the daughter of the late Bud and Rachel Johnson Copeland.Ms. Smith had worked for Tri-County Convalescent Home as a Nurse's Aid and was a member of the Mt. Zion Church of Christ. She liked soap operas and taking care of her grandchildren.Ms. Smith departed this life on Friday, August 28, 2009 at the age of 68 years, 8 months, 16 days.Ms. Smith is survived by 3 sons, Robert Dan Eaker of Crump, Tennessee, Roger Dale Eaker and Johnny Wayne Eaker both of Walnut Grove, Tennessee; 3 sisters, Pauline Hamm of Savannah, Tennessee, Irene Burns of Cypress Inn, Tennessee, and Ozeleen Stubbelfield of Florence, Alabama; 2 brothers, Johnny Copeland and R. D. Copeland both of Savannah, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Ms. Smith was preceded in death by a brother, Grady Copeland; 3 sisters, Pearl Thigpen, Ruby Weeks, and Maye Williams.
