Finger, TN: Kathy Loraine Mayfield Cupples age 64 passed away Wednesday evening, August 14, 2019 at her home.

She was born January 14, 1955 in Jackson, TN the daughter of the late James Raymond and Moline Garner Mayfield. She grew up in Chester County and graduated Chester County High School in 1972. She married Boyd Cupples on July 28, 1972. They have spent most of all their forty-seven years together in Chester County. She was primarily a homemaker for her beloved family. She had also worked as a bank-teller at Home Banking in Finger and Selmer and also taught Lamaze childbirth classes. She enjoyed teaching children’s church at Friendship Baptist Church.

She was a member of the Estes Church of Christ and attended Friendship Baptist Church at Mifflin.

She loved her grandchildren and spending time with them and they affectionately call her ‘Nan’. She also enjoyed helping and doing things for others.

Mrs. Cupples is survived by her husband, Boyd Cupples of Finger; a son, Kyle Michael Cupples (Julie) of Montezuma and two daughters, Chastity King (David) of Henderson and Derrith Cooper (Chris) of Henderson and six grandchildren, Jaden Cupples, Peyton Cooper, Colby King, Dylan King, Tanner Meals and Camden Meals and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorine Mayfield.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, at Chester County Memory Gardens with Glenn Harris officiating.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the West Cancer Clinic, 7945 Wolf River Blvd, Germantown, TN 38138.
