Kathy Ann Sargent

December 11, 1961 — August 11, 2025

Kathy Ann Sargent (Vinson) departed this life after a battle with cancer on August 11, 2025 at the age of 63 years and 8 months.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Todd Vinson. They had a love like most have prayed for, spending days on the river, swimming and fishing with their grandchildren.

Kathy Ann Sargent was born on December 11, 1961 to Effie Jane Ward Sargent and David Sargent, both of Savannah, Tennessee.

She is survived by her children, Valerie Bonee and her husband Tim, whom was her favorite son-in-law and she did not care who knew, Mary Scott, John Crites, Billy Cummings, Tammy Deckert, and Johnny Beavers, all of Savannah, Tennessee; 14 grandchildren, Andy (Trinity) Bonee, Lesley Bonee, Hunter (Jessica) Bonee, Alexis Bonee, Cameron Bonee, Jordon (Malory) Yarbrough, Isaiah Bonee, Cheyenne Bonee, Amelia Cowgill, Caden Cowgill, Ethen Cowgill, Josiah Townsend, Penelope Crites, and Murray Deckert; and three great grandchildren that she adored, Gracyn Bonee, Wylder Bonee, and Onyx Bonee.

Kathy worked as a waitress in her younger years for Wolf's Cafe. As a child she was raised in the Nixon community and attended Wesley's Chapel Church.

Kathy was Saved and Baptized at Calvary Baptist Church by Pastor Patrick Godwin. She also frequently attended Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. If you knew Kathy, you knew she never met a stranger.

She went peacefully to be with Jesus with Loretta Lynn Gospel playing. Kathy loved Loretta Lynn and would sing her heart out to "Moma's got the pill".

She was preceded in death by her husband Todd Vinson; parents, Effie and David Sargent; brother, David (Bug) Sargent; sister, Janie Sargent; one grandchild; and one great grandchild.

Kathy donated her body as a beautiful gift to the Genesis Medical Education and Research Institute. Even after death she will remain giving.
