Kathy Scott, age 61 of Whiteville, TN, departed this life Saturday, October 31, 2026, at her home in Whiteville, TN.

Kathy Janell Scott was born Monday, January 18, 1965, to the late Cecille Earl Edwards and Patricia Ann Sanders Edwards in Clinton, LA. Kathy married Micheal Wayne Scott on Friday, June 8, 1979. Mrs. Scott worked as a case manager at Hardeman County Corrections Facility in Whiteville, TN. Along with her sister, Pam Joiner, she was a big fan of Elvis Presley. Mrs. Scott lived in Winnfield, LA until moving to Whiteville, TN with her husband in 2000.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Michael Wayne Scott of Whiteville, TN; a sister, Pam Joiner of Winnfield, LA; three sons, Micheal Wayne Scott, Jr. of Bolivar, TN, Kelly Scott (Ashley) of Bolivar, TN, and Kevin Scott of Whiteville, TN; ten grandchildren, Alex Scott (Tristan), Harlee Scott, Jagger Scott, Skylar Scott, Levi Scott, Kaylee Scott, Brayden Scott, Landon Scott, Kairo Scott, and Kaiden Scott; and a niece, Trish Joyner.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, Paul and Virginia Sanders.
