Katie Mae Griffin

Katie Mae Griffin was born July 8, 1924 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Emmett and Wrenetta White Blanton.

She was united in marriage to James Henry Griffin on December 6, 1941. Mr. Griffin preceded her in death on September 18, 2001.

Mrs. Griffin was a loving and devoted mother. She along with her husband attended church every Sunday and raised their children knowing the importance of attending church. She was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee.

Mrs. Griffin departed this life on February 18, 2017 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 92 Years, 7 Months, 10 Days. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Jane Morris and husband Mark of Corinth, MS, Diane Qualls and husband Robert of Michie, TN, Kaye Sanders and husband Doug of Corinth, MS; two sons, James E. Griffin and wife Sylvia of Jackson, TN, Leon Griffin and wife Dianna of Michie, TN; 7 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren; a sister, Gay Brown and husband Clyde of Olive Hill, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by a sister, Agnes Cooksey.
