Keith Baker

October 27, 1961 — July 1, 2025

Memphis, Tennessee

In loving remembrance, we gather to honor the life of Keith Baker, who departed from this world on July 1, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee. Born on October 27, 1961, in the vibrant city of Memphis, Tennessee, Keith embodied the spirit of his hometown with a tenacity that mirrored the strength of the Mississippi River that shapes its banks.

Keith led a life rich with experiences and dedicated passions. A former investment broker for several years, he distinguished himself in the realm of finance, weaving a tapestry of success through diligent work and acute insight. His career was further illuminated as he took on the role of manager for his beloved brother, Butch Baker, and his band for over two decades. This commitment reflected his unwavering support for those he cherished, revealing a man whose love was as boundless as his dedication.

A life well-lived is often punctuated by fond memories and cherished pastimes, and for Keith, this was no exception. In his youth, he relished the camaraderie found on the football field, exhibiting both skill and a fierce competitive spirit. As years flowed by, he traded the football for golf clubs, enjoying countless afternoons on the green, where laughter and strategic play intertwined. His evenings resonated with the clinking of cards, particularly during spirited games of ROOK—a pastime that drew family and friends together in joyful competition.

His faith was a cornerstone of his existence, with the Church of Christ serving as a beacon that guided him throughout his life. While much of Keith’s days were spent in Memphis, his journey also carried him through Atlanta, Oklahoma, and Texas, each chapter imbuing his life with new experiences and friendships that he cherished deeply.

Keith leaves behind a legacy imbued with love and fellowship, remembered fondly by his siblings and nieces and nephews. He is survived by his brother, Danny Baker and Karen of Ocala, Florida, as well as his treasured nieces, Kristina and Kara Baker, and Danielle  Davis, and his nephew, Kirk Baker. They will forever hold cloistered in their hearts the memories shared and the lessons imparted by their beloved uncle.

In mourning yet celebrating his life, we also remember those who preceded him. Keith now rejoins the arms of his father, Guy Vernon Baker, Sr., his mother, Rebecca Ann Henderson Baker, and his brother, Guy Vernon Baker, Jr. Together, they form an eternal bond that transcends the confines of this Earth.

A graveside service will be held in honor of Keith on July 3, 2025, at Rogers Springs Cemetery in Middleton, Tennessee, where friends and family will gather to pay their last respects. The ceremony will commence at 3:00 PM, with reflections of love and remembrance echoing through the stillness of the afternoon.

As we bid farewell to Keith Baker, let us do so with grateful hearts, knowing that his impact on our lives continues to resonate. His laughter, his counsel, and his unwavering spirit will forever remain a cherished part of our days—an indelible mark upon our souls. May he rest in peace.
