Kenneth Ray Brewer

Kenneth Ray Brewer, Florence, AL was born April 29, 1938 in Collinwood, TN the son of the late Percy and Emma Ellen Louise Hensley Brewer and husband of the late Christine Brewer whom he married October 2, 1954.

He departed this life Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Boyd Cottages Assisted Living in Waynesboro at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 24 days.

Mr. Brewer worked for many years as a carpenter and metal manufacturing at the Reynolds Alloy Company in FLorence AL and was a member of the Eastwood Church of Christ in Florence AL.

He is survived by a son, Danny Ray Brewer and wife, Mechelle and grandchildren, Jontae Winston Brewer and Micheal Handel Brewer all of Lexington, AL; sisters, Barbara Ayers (Tommy), Collinwood, TN, Gale Brown (William), Iron City, TN, Glenda Holt (Johnny), Collinwood, TN, Debbie Brown (Dannie), Cypress Inn, TN. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by sisters, Willow Ruth Daniel and Margaret Andis and brother-in-law, Johnny "Penny" Daniel.

Services will be Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, TN with Sonny Owen officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM and Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jontae Brewer, Handel Brewer, Russell Holt, John Holt, Randall Ayers, William Brown, Stan Bevis, and Robert Daniel.
