Kenneth Earl Butler was born April 14, 1947 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late Edward Earl and Lina Daniel Butler. He was united in marriage to Wanda Southerland on December 24, 1966.
Mr. Butler was a supervisor at Murray Ohio manufacturing company. He was a dedicated fan of Summertown High School and Martin Methodist College athletics, a former president of Collinwood Jaycees, a volunteer firefighter and an avid golfer.
Mr. Butler departed this life on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at his residence at the age of 68 Years, 11 Months, 29 Days.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Southerland Butler of Lawrenceburg, TN; a son, Kendal Butler of Paris, KY; a daughter, Shannon Cole and husband, Randy of Lawrenceburg, TN; grandchildren, Cile Counce and wife, Ashley Moore Counce, Clint Gobbell and Henry Butler-Harp; a brother, Mitchell Butler of Lawrenceburg, TN; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Butler was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn Simbeck.
Services will be Friday, April 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with familiy members speaking. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Cile Counce, Clint Gobbell, Grant Counce, Blake Tolbert, Todd Harp and Dawn Staggs. Honorary pallbearers will be James Daniel, Ben Blalock, Paul Hammack and Travis Gray.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Friday, April 15, 2016 from 11 am until service time at the funeral home.
