Obituary

Kenneth Kelly Clement, 84, of Henderson passed away peacefully August 30, 2026, at the Henderson Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M Saturday, September 5th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel, with visitation from 9:00 - 11 AM. Jon Haimes will officiate the ceremony. Burial will follow immediately after the service at New Salem Cemetery in Bethel Springs.

Kenneth was born in Jackson and lived his entire life in Henderson. Kenneth is the son of the late Ted Clement and Velma Johnston Clement. He attended school in Chester County.

Kenneth was a “jack of all trades” and could fix anything. During his working life he was a truck driver, backhoe operator, plumber, and mechanic. He was a member of Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian church for many years before his health prevented him from attending regular services. After he became unable to attend church he would often listen to services on the radio.

Kenneth was married for 58 years to his wife, Rebecca Gail Plunk Clement who preceded him in death in 2019. He is survived by a son, Tim (Judy) Clement of Kansas City, Kansas, a daughter, Becky (Sandy) Cox of Henderson; six grandchildren, Matthew (Sara) Clement, Aaron (Christina) Clement, Laura (Annie) Clement, Jonathon Cox, Benjamin Cox, and Becca Cox, and four great grandchildren Elijah, Eleanor, Amelia and Sunday.

Mr. Clement was preceded in death by his wife, parents and one half-brother Howard Clement.
